Well, this is what happened to this guy when he learned only a few weeks before the wedding that it is his fiancee’s family tradition that before the wedding, the groom spend the night with his future MIL at a date night and this date night includes taking the MIL to a hotel and spending a night with her.

This guy recently took to the Reddit platform of AITA to share that his fiancee has a family tradition of the groom spending a date night with the future MIL before the wedding and the date night includes spending a night with the MIL at a hotel.

Apparently, this is a family tradition that began a long time ago as a way of “kicking off the marriage.” Freaked out and somewhat confused, OP shares that he has refused to go with this tradition, and now the fiancee is upset that he is rejecting such a fun tradition.
